Hello Winter!!

It's time for hot chocolate :)

We all here are gearing up for winter, and all my favorite things about this time of the year are slowly entering in my schedule: soups, hot chocolates, sunshine, listening to my favorite music in bed, snuggling in pajamas, warm coats, sizzling hot meals... I'm in love with Winter :)

Always Remember ..

Throughout life you will meet one person who is unlike any other. You could talk to this person for hours and never get bored, you could tell them things and they won't judge you. This person is your soulmate, your best friend. Don't ever let them go.

First cooking lesson: A cake that flopped!

I guess it happens every one. First cooking lesson, most of the times gets flopped. When i was trying to make the cake i was very curious, but eventually it turned out to be a total disaster :P

But i was motivated enough to make another one next day, may be because i knew what went wrong and i thought i can do it  or may be i love cakes!! The next day i tried for another one, i was feeling butterflies in my stomach expecting it to be better this time,  hoping it will not be a second disaster. And when i saw the cake it simply bought a smile on my face. I was very happy to see my first well made cake.

It was a simple sponge cake, i decorated it with gems later on. The moment i tasted it was amazing :D

Vintage Look-book: Men

As requested, i am posting some amazing formal vintage looks for men. Vintage for men mostly covers formal clothing, mix and match can be done with casuals too but casuals should very basic, you cannot add punk to the whole look. Here is what you can experiment-

Straight fit shirts and straight fit pants looks gorgeous. Especially if you are thin straight fit shirt and pant will make you look healthy.

I loved the idea of bow tie with formal shirts, they look classy. If not bow tie, you can use tie or a jacket. If you are trying to give a vintage look make sure you use earthy light colors, bright colors can ruin you outfit.

You can also experiment check pants and plain shirts as shown above and please make sure if you wear tie, you wear a straight one, broad ties are a big no!

(Picture in left) gives a perfect idea of dressing in a vintage casual look. Make sure all colors you use are earthy. You can use sneakers(light color with no establishment) Coats gives a perfect shape to the look, you can use ties, scarfs or a plain t shirt with a jacket.

Basic things to keep in mind for Vintage look-
  1. Use light and sober colors
  2. Your clothes should be well fitted, preferably straight fit
  3. If your hairs are long, prefer to get a clean shave. If you have short hair, a light beard goes a long way!
  4. Vintage look is always a little messy, so you don't need to get a clean hairstyle. Messy looks will do better.

    Hope you guys enjoyed!

    New Wall

While i was browsing some of my old stuff today, i found some beautiful cards, papers and some show pieces too. So i thought to fill up the empty space that i had in my room. I used all the stuff i had, i had particularly chosen light colors so that they really stand out on this purple wall. You can use cards and ribbons in a really creative way. Well my effort was to make something cute and fill up the space. Hope you guys like it.

    Ahhhh..!! Venice!

"Venice is not only a city of fantasy and freedom. It is also a city of joy and pleasure."

    -Peggy Guggenheim

I would love to go to Venice ones in my life. I'm so fascinated by the beauty of this place. Venice is a big hit in tourism. The city is connected with the mainland, 2.5 mi (4 km) away, by a rail and highway bridge. Between the islands run about 150 canals, mostly very narrow, crossed by some 400 bridges. The tourist trade is stimulated by many annual festivals, including ones devoted to painting, motion pictures, drama, and contemporary music. The Venice Biennale, which exhibits various kinds of modern art every other year, has been held there since 1895. Manufactures include lace, jewelry, flour, and Murano glass, and the city is a center for shipbuilding.

Venice is an experience that you have to try once in a lifetime. In Venice light and water combine to create a restless magic. All borderlines are eradicated some where between dream and reality, present and past, the ethereal nature of this town has fascinated many famous people.

A must see if in Europe. Venice is truly "the" romantic city.

    Hard Times

Good-morning to all my DEAR READERS!!

Well this post will be a sort question to you all. Lately, i have been through the time where i am very excited to start something, i'm all set with all my heart for the every task i'm about to take, but somehow it never gets successful. The first unsuccessful attempt bought me disappointment but a learning too.

I totally agree to the fact that we should not take any failure 'as its okay' because you put so much effort in everything and taking it easily as its okay doesn't make any sense to me. We know we should not even lower ourselves with any unsuccessful attempt, but we are  humans, aren't we? We put in so much efforts because we expect our efforts will be fruitful.

My question is not how to get that zeal back in ourselves to put all the efforts again. But my question is how to deal with a feeling of disappointment which you come across one after another. I'm sure we all have been through the same sometime in our life. So please share you inputs, i would love to read them.

    Summer Love

For those, who like to mix and match clothes..here are some cool ideas which you can use in this hot hot summer!

Here is what you can experiment with jeans-

Jeans is something which everyone loves to wear, be it any season..and it never goes out of fashion, but you can make it look more funky by mixing it with a jacket instead of wearing it  with a normal t shirt or top.  I simply loved the picture at right..you can use your old lose fit jeans if you have any, its not important that it should be low waist, wear it with a short top, you can also do it with a long top just tuck it inside your jeans and put a smart broad belt, add-on accessories to it further if you want to with jewelery, scarf or jacket as shown below:

What you can try with tights-

Tights have been in fashion for quite a while now..you can try a lot of things with them and also they come in beautiful earthy colors. They can be mixed with frocks, long shirts as shown in the pictures above..you can also mix them with short dresses, denim shorts and skirts, they look beautiful with short floral print skirts. Here's what you can try -

Here are some of my favorite outfits. So mix and match and experiment!

This is one of my favorite, so simple yet so stylish!
